What are the implications of a fully autonomous car in regards to the user experience?

UX Research
Research on autonomous mobility, it’s impact on urban environments, communication and interaction with people inside and outside the car. Research on how to build trust and identified opportunities for new experiences enabled by full autonomy.

Experience Concept
Introduced the vision of an immersive digital space in a vehicle that starts communicating with the outside world. A space that let’s me travel anywhere virtually, physically and even in time while being always connected.

Visual Design
Futuristic autonomous mobility turns the car into the ultimate digital companion. This is expressed in the clean visual design language utilizing digital patterns and metaphors of light.

Interaction Design
In the dashboard the autonomous driving speed, climate and map settings can be adjusted by gaze detection and gestures. On the touch screens in the doors the passengers can discover places and music along the route, access their devices, access the 360° cameras of other cars, dive into virtual worlds and adjust the autonomous driving speed and routes.

Furthermore a completely new language for a communication between car and outside world was developed.
